He has several publications on various topics in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in both national and international journals. He is also credited with devising an objective grading system for ear reconstruction which is the first of its kind in the world and was published in the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery. He has done extensive research on adipose derived stem cell enriched fat grafts and the effect of external volume expansion on them which won the best research award from the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India. He was a Member of the Surgical Team that performed the first 3 Bilateral Hand Transplantations in India. He was also a Member of the team that performed the first Tracheal Transplantation in India (Second in the world). He also pioneered the concept of modifying the Thiel embalming technique for optimizing cadavers for medical education in tropical weather conditions. He was awarded the prestigious Gyan Burman Fellowsip in Hepato-biliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. |
